Re: LIST OF NAMES ON OUR TREES

Post by MacPanda »

Fanny, Edward and Emma are siblings of Henry my g grandfather and we know William married in England.
William's youngest was born 1886 Frederick George so he wouldn't be there.
Edwards youngest was born 1886 Minnie Maria

What I have on Emma is

Emma married twice and she died 1/07/1896
M1 1882 William Cherry 7/10/1882
1 child: Alice Maud 26/07/1883
M2 1889 James Wood 7/03/1889
3 children: William James Wood 30/10/1889
..............Jessie Stuart " 19/07/1891
..............Ivy May " 22/01/1895

William Cherry died 14/09/1888

I have just realised I have no research on Fanny. She must have got lost in the shuffle :cm

I know she was born 1860 Hampton, Lovett, Worcestershire
Arrived Maryborough 30/1/1883 on Melpomene
Now know she married 1885

Can you find out anything more about Fanny Tony please?????

Panda. Just in case you couldnt access the Q.L.D site.

These were the other births to Fanny.....that i could find....... Deaths for on-line only go up to 1929....so perhaps Fanny's death was after this time.

1891/C5672 Elfverson Gertrude.......... Alexander.... Fanny Nott
1894/C4934 Elfverson Mabel............. Alexander.... Fanny Nott
1896/C5182 Elfverson Alfred............ Alexander.... Fanny Nott
1899/C4722 Elfverson Harold Edward..... Alexander.... Fanny Nott
1901/C5203 Elfverson Norman Alexander.. Alexander.... Fanny Nott

If you want to try for more recent deaths...you can always try the "Ryerson Index" too.

Death coverage is from about 1960 to 2008

Tony I found Fanny in all the Electoral rolls up to and including 1925 (had moved to Brisbane from Gympie in the 1919 roll) so guess she died after 1929 and before 1936. Bugger just out of the range for Qld BDM these ancestors of ours were very uncooperative weren't they...

Thanks again Tony for all your help I appreciate it heaps mate.

PS: I bumed out in Ryerson Index again but was worth a try thanks Tone. I might ask the Qld State Library for a Courier Mail look up for and obit between 1929 and 1936 and see if they can come up with something for me but will have to wait until Monday for that. I'll let you know how I get on.
