He is my nemesis.
Born around 1803 and christened at St Dunstans 1812 together with two other brothers.
Father another Edward.
All I have on him is his marriage in 1842 to Jenet Luke at St Martin in the Fields.
He was described on that as a ships steward.
Nothing on 1841 onwards. Wife Jenet down as widow in 1861.
Tried a death cert for 1858 no good.
Found one today that I have thought about before 1860 in Barnet.
As they seem at the time to be ensconced in Stepney, I googled it and it seems as it's only 14 miles away, too far??
I would so like something on him to definitely tie him up.
In 1849 his son Thomas David Luke was born, my ancestor. Two boys prior to his birth, none after.
He would have been heading for 50 at this point. So what could have happened to him.
Jenet died 1881 ish, have cert. Widow of Edward.
