My friend just sent me this

Marriages Sep 1859 (actually 25 Sep 1859)
Griffiths Mary Ann Kensington 1a 49
Skinner Henry Plummer Kensington 1a 49

Mary Ann died 1873.

On 1861 census he is married but Mary Ann is not at home. Haven't found her yet.

I have the 1911 census with Henry Samuel Skinner in the workhouse in Brentford

I am unable to upload it to here.
This is where the complication comes I think. The fact that the name changed.

In 1891 the Samuel Henry appears. On this census he is listed as Samuel Henry Skinner
age 45, Coach wheelright born Dorking Surrey and married to Maria with 5 children
in Twickenham borough Brentford. In 1911 he is in the workhouse.
But it was Henry Plumer that married a Maria.
We have Samuel being married to Sarah. and they had two daughters.

I know what you mean Dizzi. On the 1901 census
Samuel Henry is married to Maria, that would have been
Henry Plumer's wife with his children. Maybe they
swapped wives. I know a family that did that in the
50's. Two brothers who swapped wives and one lot took
the boys and the other the girls. At the time I didn't
think anything about it. It did get upset that they all
got spending money from 2 dads, and I only had one.

This must be another son.

WhenI was looking yesterday I found a good one.

Don't think it's the Skinners we are looking for, but
looks like some interbreeding could be going on.
