From a book called Sydney Stockbrokers - biographies of members of the stock exchange, I found this info.

Marshall Bayley - christened 2nd September 1823 at St Martins in the Fields in Westminster. Youngest son of Thomas Bayley and Mary Ann Patterson. Marshal was schooled at Eton and studied accountancy, a clerk for his brother George in 1851, admitted to the London Stock Exchange in January 1852 - but failed on 28th May 1852. Both brother George and father Thomas were members of the London Stock Exchange. Came to Australia unassisted passage on the Walter Hood 4th August 1853.
(maybe the family sent him out to remove the 'stain' of failure on the stock exchange??)

Have no dates for Father Thomas or Mother Mary and if possible would like to confirm Christening date :)

Looks like you will have to teach me how to find English records!!!

Not sure if this is the marriage - the record says 12 April 1804 but when one looks at the original it says 12 May 1804 Thomas Bayley, marriage, Mary Ann Patterson St Martin in the Fields. if Marshall was the youngest then he came later in life.
