OK, Our Dear Jilly, Supose I had better give yoy some information of my Elusive MUNRO's in Wester Muir Dean, Kelso scotland. I guess there would be a few ( 100 or 1,000 Munro's over there) Munros so dont want to get the wrong mob.

The Parents of these two at Wester Muir Dean ( a farm to the north west of Kelso, there is also an Easter Muir Dean Farm) are as follows:

Rev. David MUNRO (b. 02OCT1817, St. Andrews, FIFE, SCT., son of Alexander MONRO [correct spelling] and Isbel Walker)and Mrs Margaret (nee Stevenson, born Lowick, Northumberland, ENG) Munro of the Priory Manse, Coldingham. Berwick, SCT.
My Elusive Munro's
David Alexander Stevenson Munro, b. 26JAN1857 Coldingham and Brother Thomas Murray Munro (the 2nd - as there is a Thomas Murray Munro born to the same parents b. 23MAR1861 but d. APR1862) this Thomas 2, shown as a Dr (?) medicine or a vet I am not at all sure, was b. 02AUG1863, Coldingham. This information I got from the 1881 Census that they were at this particular Farm. David was shown as the head of the household aged 24, sisters Mary Ann Helena Munro, aged 13, and Sarah Margaret Munro, aged 15, are also there in the census. Thomas Murray (Dr.) Munro is aged 18. Both men at this time were unmarried. A servant, Agnes BLAIR, aged 24 was also born at Coldingham, Berwick, Sct. I hope the two Munro men were very nice to their servant and no hanky panky; after all they are the sons of a Reverend Minister of the Church!!

Okay, hope that helps, and Thank You in advance,

ron munro
