HELLO STU AND DIZZI, THANKS FOR THE OFFER OF LOOK UPS.
MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER WAS ELIZABETH SMITH NEE WALTER(S) WAS BORN IN MADEHURST I THINK ABT 1854. I THINK HER FATHER WAS JAMES AND MOTHER MARY - JAMES WAS A LBOURER -NOT SURE IF YOUR DISCS COVER THIS -
I HAVE SOME CENSUS
ELIZABETH MARRIED MY GREAT GRANDFATHER ALFRED SMITH IN TWIKENHAM.
THERE ARE SOME TREES ON ANCESTRY WITH JAMES AND A MARY BUT I HAVE NOT YET GOT AROUND TO FINDING A MARRIAGE.
I THINK JAMES AND MARY A HAD NINE CHILDREN, INCLUDING ELIZABETH - MARIA, CHARLOTTE, JOHN, CAROLINE, MARY A, JAMES, FANYY AND JANE. JAMES SENIOR BORN ABOUT 1816 AND MOTHER MARY A (ON 1851 CENSUS SHE IS MAYANN) ABT 1820
MAYBE THE SUSSEX DISCS COULD HELP
MANY THANKS :bk
