Indonesian Gado Gado,,(salad)

If you like Satay you will love this..

Go to Woolworths and buy a packet of CRUNCHY SALAD in the veg, section..
Then go to the meat section and buy a packet of made up Satay Sticks...
Then buy any Satay sauce that you like the taste of..

Now Grill the satay sticks until they are dont the way you like them
Warm up the Satay sauce to just over warm,,not hot..
Then plate the salad from the packet put 2 cooked hot satay sticks on the top and pour over the warm satay sauce..
Sprinkle the crunchy noodles you will find in the Salad packet over the top of the lot..yummo....enjoy,,, :tt

There is a small sachet of salad dressing in the salad packet also..This is lovely over any leftover crunchy salad that is not used in the Gado Gado..

Tried his out on my brother and he is raving about it and going home to make it..even John who is not the best salad eater loves it..
YYAAAYYY I did summit right for a change...

Would like to try this but we don't have Woolworths over here any more, they went bust. :sup

Suppose one of the other supermarkets will have to do.

Stu... The veg, in the salad mix is much the same as a coleslaw mix of veg..
Carrots. Cabbage. Spring Onions,Celery.Spanish Onion (dark purple one) all cut or grated small..if you can buy made up salad mixes in your supermarket look for a coleslaw one it will be much the same..

Happy eating..... :tt :tt

Sometimes the Sate sauce that you buy is rather thick,,so to thin it down to pauring consistancy add a little low fat evaporated milk or coconut milk..Some brands are quite ok but some are rather thick..we also add Sambal Oelek (chilli) to make it a bit hotter chilly wise.. :tt
